LAMANRIAU.COM, PEKANBARU – The Riau Police’s Narcotics Directorate has uncovered a shabu-type drug syndicate in Dumai. There were 20 kg of crystal methamphetamine confiscated from a courier with the initials AL.

“That’s right, there was a case of methamphetamine drug cases by the Riau Police’s Directorate of Narcotics Team. The evidence is 20 kg of crystal methamphetamine, ”explained Director of the Directorate of Narcotics for the Riau Police, Kombes Victor Siagian, Tuesday, January 19, 2021.
According to Victor, the drug trafficking was revealed on Monday, January 18, 2021, at around 10.15 WIB. The raids were carried out at Roro Rupat Port-Dumai City.
“The suspect’s initials AL (36), a resident of Sungai Cuna, Bengkalis. From the suspect, 2 bags containing 20 kg of crystal methamphetamine and four units of cellphones were secured,” he said.
The disclosure of the circulation of illicit goods stems from the surveillance of a white minibus with a BM-1244-EN plate getting off the Roro ship. The ship wanted to go to Dumai City.
“The team immediately stopped the car and checked, searched the contents inside. There was one person, namely the suspect, the Navy,” he said.
Separately, the Head of Sub-Directorate I for Narcotics, AKBP Hardian Pratama, said that the results of the Navy’s interrogation were ordered by a man who is usually called ‘boss’ to pick up goods in the Rupat area. Then the goods are delivered to Dumai.
“But I don’t know who the recipient is in the Dumai area. The Navy is ordered to pay Rp. 8 million per kg, but is paid after the goods arrive at the recipient’s destination in Dumai,” said Hardian.
The results of the in-depth examination showed that the Navy perpetrator admitted that he had sent crystal methamphetamine at the end of December 2020. However, all information is still being explored.
